桂林猫儿山为南岭山脉越城岭主峰，是广东和广西的第一高峰，海拔2141.5米。居五岭之冠，号称“华南之巅”。
猫儿山不仅是华南第一高峰，也是长江和珠江水系的分水岭，漓江、浔江、资江之源也在此。发源于猫儿山的河流39条，其中19条流入漓江。
猫儿山的四季各有特色，春天赏花，夏天避暑，秋天登高，冬天赏雪，是游览、观光、猎奇、避暑的好地方。
站在华南之巅上,可以欣赏日出、日落
云海、云瀑、星空、银河。
